Hong Kong-based architectural studio AB Concept have completed luxury W Retreat & Spa in Seminyak Bali. This luxury retreat may be dressed to impress the trend-setting hipsters of the Seminyak strip, but the design roots it deeply, and rather distinctively, in its host culture.

Working for one of the most innovative hotel brands of the moment, AB Concept was able to craft a radically new Balinese narrative, combining a neon colour palette with distinctive architectural shapes, and a very relaxed attitude to the boundaries between indoors and outdoors.

The Villa 3S situated on the fringe of Graz Geidorf Austria, designed by LOVE Architecture. The design blurred the boundaries between house and garden creating fluid transitions and an extended exterior living space. The building is a massive brick construction with concrete walls and a reinforced concrete roof. This roof also serves as a thermal storage mass to provide a pleasant indoor climate and is covered with wood outside. This shades the planking and visually blends the terrace and roof into a unified whole.
