The Martinborough House, a single storey modern family dwelling designed by Parsonson Architect. This house sited in large area with green trees at suburbs area of New Zealand. Exterior constructed with dark corrugated iron walls, concrete and large glazing. Those materials combination create a dark exterior that could perfectly blend with the Macrocarpa trees in long distance. And the expansive glass panels allow natural light to fill the whole room every day and invite the outdoor view in. In the interior, wall section is painted in calm shade such as white that could make the home feel light. The ceiling lamp system allows a charming illumination to the whole room.
